Hi, I’m Sam, the maker and founder behind The Mystic Apron — a small, family-run venture built on creativity, love, and just the right amount of sparkle and sarcasm.
When my partner began his journey into Freemasonry, I wanted to give him a gift that felt truly personal — something that captured both the meaning of the Craft and his one-of-a-kind sense of humour. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for, I decided to make it myself. That first gift sparked an idea… and that idea became The Mystic Apron.
The Family Behind the Apron
While he may not run the production line (and still isn’t trusted near the Heat Press), my partner, Michael, is our in-house proofreader, design critic, Snack Supplier, Sunday Roast Facilitator, and faithful Walker of Abby — all essential roles in a thriving small family business. He also ensures every product idea passes the “Would You Actually Wear That to Lodge?” test — a surprisingly high bar, especially for anything involving goats or glow-in-the-dark vinyl.
My brilliant stepdaughter, our Head of Cringe Prevention & Trend Approval, keeps our designs sharp, relevant, and never too embarrassing to wear in public. And then there's Abby, our beloved fur baby — the Chief Morale Officer & Snack Break Compliance Manager — who oversees operations from her many nap stations throughout the house, ensuring that cuddle sessions and treat schedules are strictly adhered to
